Saphire sat with her back to most of the common room. She'd got out of Maths early (which was something of a miracle) and no one else was around yet. So, she'd grabbed Steve from her dorm and decided to sit with him and watch the rain patting lightly against the wall sized window. Steve (who is a cat by the way!) purred happily in her lap and her mind was wondering. She was lost in a story that unraveled itself inside her imagination. A wild story about a prophecy and a young girl. Without really thinking about it she grabbed a pen and some paper from her bag and shuffled over t the nearest desk, careful to disturb the cat as little as possible. Her mind still buzzing, words began to fall from her imagination, onto the page. Notes of names, places, limericks and dramatic plot twists. She was so entwined at that moment that she probably wouldn't notice if a werewolf had come up and ripped her leg off! Saph was in her own world, a world anyone would be hard pushed to get her out of!

Caleb had wandered into the common room with a small frown playing at his lips. He'd been sent out of his english class for asking if the artistic writers, such as Shakespeare, tasted nice. How was he to know that such a question was considered rude and ungrateful towards such a great writer? Not that Caleb thought so much of him, he couldn't even write in proper english for crying out loud. He'd been sent out for disturbing the peace and for being impertinent. He's a vampire for crying out loud, it's his own natural curiousity to wonder if somebody will taste nice.. It's pratically his business. He makes it his business anyway.
With his foot he closed the door shut, paying no heed to anybody else within the room for a moment. The weather was awful and there was no way he was going to retire to bed right yet. So he wandered over to a couch, flinging his bag upon it with little to no cares. Which was when he spotted Saphire. His steps were almost silent as he approached her, not because he was trying to creep up on her, but because he's usually pretty graceful, "Hello?" He spoke, knowing he was loud enough for her to hear. Though she kept on scribbling on her piece of paper, her hand writing quickly over the page, she didn't seem to hear him.. Hm. So he stepped closer, bending over slightly to blow lightly onto her face, "Wakey wakeey, reality's a bitch and it's coming to get you," he said in sing song, a bright, friendly smile upon his lips, though the vampire fangs hidden from sight, "boo."

Saphire jumped when she heard the voice in her ear. Unsurprisingly Steve leaped from her lap, turned, hissed at her and stalked off. She sighed and rolled her eyes, "Ah, Man. Don't you just hate it when reality does that!" She turned to face him, smiling, "Boo to you too! What're you doing up here anyway? Surely you haven't been thrown out of a lesson already! It's only the first week of school!!" She laughed and gathered the notes she'd taken and shoved them into her bag. With a quick glance in the direction Steve had run off, in she stood up and grabbed Caleb's hand, dragging him over to the nearby sofa before flopping down onto the old worn-down leather.
After making herself completely comfortable, Saph looked back up to her friend to hear his excuse, very likely she'd heard something like it in a situation very much like this before!
